Eligibility
A full scholarship for the 2-week summer program to Germany. Open to Michigan U.S. high school students with freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior class standing with demonstrated financial need. Students must have a 3.0 or higher grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Finalists for this scholarship are selected on merit- and needs-based criteria.

Upon returning home, scholarship winners are expected to complete at least one presentation in their school or community to share their experiences, teach others about the culture in their host country, and encourage other students to participate in foreign exchange.

All scholarship recipients are required to travel on the YFU group travel dates and complete the entire program.
